Celebrate Earth Day by designing your own reusable shopping bag. Your bag will be entered in a contest and your bag could be sold at Kroger, which will probably never happen since there are thousands and thousands of entries. Since you may never see your design in stores, you also have the option to order it. The above is my design. You can view and vote for my design by typing 21228 on the vote for designs page (the title to this entry will link you to the website). Go Green! I can't wait to see everyone's designs.

I voted for your bag! We can each vote AND we can vote daily!!! You could rack up several votes if we all pitch in!!! I love your design. Happy Earth Day. We use reusable bags that we got at Walmart; trouble we are having is remembering to take them with us each time, but we are getting better. EVERYONE VOTE for Leigh Leigh's bag!!!
Thanks Ke! How cool would it be if I actually won. We have a long way to go though. The bag with the most votes has over 12,000. Vote, vote, vote! Apparently you can order your bag, but I am having trouble finding the site again. I need to start using them.
I voted for you too! What a clever way to get people more involved with purchasing reusable bags!
I voted for your design, but I think you should leave the fags alone. :-)
I have to admit, I thought it said fag, too. But it's very pretty. I'll go vote!
Ke, I have reusable bags, but then we run out of trash can bags. What do you use to line your trash bags?
Hehehe...I am so sad that it looks like fag. That is no good at all. I am pretty sure that it really is a b though. I will have to go back and look.
I voted again!! However, I was unable to vote in the morning. It seems that you may have to wait 24 hours between votes.
Mau, so far I have not had to worry about running out of plastic trash bags because I had a lot and I often forget to take my reusable ones. I figure when my supply gets short, I'll just have them pack my stuff in plastic. We seem to generate much less trash these days with recycling and lack of kids.
The City is not very supportive of our efforts to go green. They require us to pay a private company for garbage pickup. The minimum service level with the company is one 32-gallon can per month. With recycling, composting, and our garden "worm bin", we never produce that much. Therefore, we get to pay for more garbage than we produce.
Sometimes, it is tempting to just use the extra garbage can space for certain things that take work to compost, but K won't let me.
Tern, Thank goodness for people like K--she is keeping your ecological footprint small!!! I had to insist on recycling for a long time before JW gave in...now he is a good recycler and even seems to enjoy it!
That's a B,but I have to admit,I am laughing.
